Flora Kessler receives a 2020 WACL Future Leaders Award

We're thrilled to announce that Carat UK Strategy Partner, Flora Kessler is one of the proud recipients of the 2020 WACL Future Leaders Award.

WACL (Women in Advertising and Communications London) is a network of key female leaders, which aims to enable women in our industry to reach their full potential and work to attain senior positions within the industry.

To take part, candidates were asked to put together an entry which emphasised their passions, motivations and achievements.  Upon being shortlisted, successful candidates were invited to a panel interview attended by ten senior leaders in the industry.

Flora has been a force of nature here at Carat UK, since arriving in late 2018, following nearly seven years at Procter & Gamble, where she had most recently led media operations and digital innovation and spearheaded the media data strategy for Northern Europe.

She's obsessed with getting to the heart of a problem and her insatiable curiosity about the world coupled with her drive to learn all the time has enabled her to do some brilliant work for her clients, in particular Mondelēz.

The true definition of a team player, Flora does all this while getting the best out of and inspiring those around her.

Flora’s prize for this incredible achievement is a bursary for a training course of her choosing, for which she has selected the Imperial College London’s From Idea to Innovation: Inspiring Intrapreneurship and a place in the Futures Network, which offers support, mentoring and events, as well as sponsored membership to the Chartered Management Institution, for the alumni.

This year, the winners were selected from 230 applicants. The Future Leaders Award committee was chaired by AAR chief executive Victoria Fox, who said self-reflection was increasingly evident in application forms.

"This year, we saw more people than ever before in self-reflective mode, taking a lot of time and thought to fill out our application form. The Future Leaders Award application process is a self-reflective one, prompting applicants to evaluate if they’re on the right path – one that enables them to fulfil their potential," Fox said.
