Carat named fastest growing network of 2013

RECMA, the leading independent global monitoring and ranking source, has published the industry’s 2013 Overall Activity Billings, which shows that Carat was the fastest growing network in 2013: we increased our billings by nearly 20% to $5.2billion.

Carat increased its overall industry share by 0.5%, taking us to 8.5% of the market, the second largest growth, just behind SMG Starcom.

We have also moved up a place in the sub-network rankings, up to 3rd globally, ahead of MediaCom and behind OMD and Mindshare. This is fantastic news, and shows that all the hard work everyone has put in to redefine media for our clients is really paying off.

The results are the result of the efforts of everyone in the network, but there are some markets with some stand-out results in 2013:

  • Australia and the Philippines both experienced phenomenal growth – 55% and 59% respectively.
  • The USA had a growth rate of 43.6%, which propelled them from number 7 to number 4 in the North America rankings. Canada also grew by over a third, moving from tenth to sixth in the market.
  • Carat Ireland and Carat South Korea are now the biggest media agencies in their markets.
  • Carat Russia is now the second largest agency in the country, after growing by a massive 49% last year.

Dentsu Aegis Network was ranked the world’s 4th biggest media network, recording a 15.3% increase in global billings, the largest of any network. Overall, Dentsu Aegis posted billings of worth $43.3bn and an industry share of 11.5%.
